Restart

It is 2015.

Technically, I am supposed to feel fresh, and maybe a little pinch of happiness from my upcoming birthday. Birthday wishes aren't wishes if they aren't realise. Ha.

2014 was an fruitful(?) one...

Lets start with some negative stuff thou. I end a 1-and-half year relationship badly with lots of main drama. It was really that bad that if I ever have had to frame it, it would be on the box office. (Sorry, just kidding. It is boring as hell.) He got a new gf 2 weeks after we decided to stop texting each other. Pisssssss~

However, I made alot of friends. Took part in alot of locking competitions after 6 months of hiatus with the help of my teacher. That one petite girl that pushed (gigantic) me. Lol. Thanks, I hope you know how glad I was. ;)

On top of that, I joined a studio production and school production in the locking and house segment. The studio production was an total eye opener for me. I didn't even have the slightest confidence that I would have gone through audition due to the long hiatus.. but I got in!! In both events, I managed to dance along side with some of the top few teachers in Singapore and young energetic juniors. Brilliant. The best thing is my parents finally came to watch it. *roll on the ground and cries*

It is that people don't give up on you and bless you with little wishes along your life journey. My best friends, they are so supportive of me. You can say I put alot 精神 alot into friendships. Yes, because I believe that friends are just siblings with different surnames, thats all.

"好, 你可以在家多一点, 陪我多一点 (Direct translation: Great, you can stay at home more, accompany me longer.)", what my mum said right after I announced the break up. I am glad that she didn't ask anything at all because I don't want to say things to make me look perfect. I know very well that she would support me after seeing what his actions had imprinted on me.

Job, yes, I got a new part-time job. Near my place, strictly speaking 5 stops away. Plus Singapore is REALLY mini, thus it has granted me longer sleep. The previous supervisor treated me very well. She moved on to another place thou. Well. Sigh. Missed working with her so badly. *kneel on the ground and cries towards the skies*

Additionally, before getting the current job, I was serving a 5-months internship at one of the top 5-stars hotel in Singapore as a Labour Productivity EXECUTIVE intern. *proud* The "boss" I had to report to is very loving towards me. She didn't just teach me what I am supposed to do in my job scope but about life. She brought me along to big meetings with GMs from other hotels. Both of us even won first among other 5-stars hotels. The first thing she said was,"Lets have a cupcake tea party with this $400." GM approved btw. So kawaii....

Before the year concluded itself, I traveled to Taipei for a "dance trip". Literally. 2 of my seniors researched on the different studios. We danced basically everyday. Even the clothes I bought are either from dancers shops or for dance. One of the brand I recommend which is locally designed is Creation. Others would be Step, Woodstuck and Squad. All are averagely priced at about $30 to $70. Puma black and hot pink suede for myself at SGD$70. I hope I have the time to do another blog post on it later in the future in details.

Lastly, it is that I got into an university. Lesson learnt so far: Think very clearly what you want to study rather than what is popular. Really, because I always wanted to study art, specifically dance. After O' levels, I was thinking of getting into NAFA or Laselle. However, the polytechnic I got into isn't bad at all, kudos to hospitality and tourism studies! Then, I was planning to either continue in that path or accounting (because clearly my parents don't really want me into arts as a profession but as a hobby). My brother was studying accounting thou.

....

Morale of the story: I got into Business Management under SIM-University of London. Pros: Recognition. Cons: Difficult. Very. 4 months into the course, I am still in a hectic state.

Paid my exam fees a few days ago, shit just got pretty real. It is when you exchange that thousands of (dad's) hard earned dollars, you start feeling the darkness of guilt and revise every other days.

Prelims in end of February.

Final exams are in May.

Taiwan trip in March. Ah.

Bye in April. I probably go and hide in mountains to study so hard when I got out, I have beard touching my waist.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Gosh, I better wake up my idea.

Anyway, in 2015, I hope I can successfully lose weight (god-long wish that yet to be fulfilled), passed my exams, save money for the maybe-possible overseas internship/summer camp in June 2016. And not to fall in love so easily.
